The Cisco Small Business SGE2000-G5 is a managed Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for small and medium-sized businesses. It provides a secure, high-performance foundation for a growing network. The switch is equipped with 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 4 shared SFP slots for flexible, high-speed fiber expansion. This non-PoE model offers fast, non-blocking performance with a switching capacity of 48 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 35.7 Mpps. For enhanced network availability and scalability, the SGE2000-G5 supports resilient stacking of up to 8 units, dual firmware images, and a connector for a redundant power supply. It also includes a robust set of security features such as Access Control Lists (ACLs), 802.1X port authentication, and Denial-of-Service (DoS) attack prevention. The switch supports up to 256 active VLANs, has an 8,000-entry MAC address table, and can be easily managed via a web-based UI, a command-line interface (CLI), or SNMP. The device is a 1U rack-mountable unit with a fan and is powered by an internal power supply. It also supports Jumbo Frames up to 10 KB.
